Definition

According to the definition found within industry standard ASTM F2389, PPCH means polypropylene Co-Homopolymer with modified crystallinity and temperature resistance. PPCH is a copolymer of propylene and at least one comonomer, where the propylene is more than 50% of the composition. PPCH piping products are rated for continuous operation at 180ºF (82Cº) temperature, with pressure rating depending on their wall type (SDR). PPCH pipes also include reinforcement layers for benefits such as reducing longitudinal thermal expansion/contraction.

Special Features of V2 Flame Retardant
Possibility of catching fire in process unit is common. PPCH pipes has undergone special treatment V2 approved flame retardant, which don't let the fire to move further causing least damage. But PPCH Pipes we are offering is being manufactured as per V2 grade approved technology which retards the fire increasing and stops the flames at the same place due to Flame Retardant additives added in the pipeline.

Non-Corrosive

There are different ways to join PPCH pipes and Fittings – SOP of welding process

(1) Fusion, Joints and Repairs

1 Fusion welding pipe and fitting are welded together. Both are made of PPCH so that additional welding material is required.
2 Threaded Fittings: both Male and Female threads are available. The threads confirm to DN EN 10226-1 and are made of CW617N (CuZn40Pb21) brass.
3 Flange connections: a flange adaptor is joined to the pipe sides. In case of need, connections can be detached at any time. Application range for pipe sizes > 315mm.
4 Union Fittings: available for a wide range of applications and sizes

(2) Fusion Tool Operating Guidelines – Three step fusion process

Step-1 Cut pipe to the required length using a cutter, mark the welding depth on pipe, ensure that the indicator light on welding tool signals that the tool is hot enough (220*C) for welding.
Step-2 Push the pipe and fittings into the welding adaptors, applying even strength at both ends. Do not twist or turn the pipe and fitting while pushing. Wait until the heating time is reached.
Step-3 When the welding heating time is reached. Remove both the pipe and fitting together, again without twisting or turning while pulling out of the welding adapter. Almost immediately, push both pipe and fitting together until the depth is reached. It is possible to adjust the points more than 5 degrees during this time. Joint is now complete.
